To prepare your vacations at La Bresse, you will find here the answers to most frequently asked questions.

Our reception team is at your service for any information and will answer any questions you may have before, during and after your stay.

Q : Is it possible to make specific requests when making my reservation?

You can mention your preferences on your booking contract or when you book online (e.g. close to the river, to the playground, in the sun, in the shade, together,...).
Subject to availability, the campsite will allocate you the pitch that best suits your wishes.

Q : Are babies counted in the accommodation's capacity?

Yes, babies are counted in the capacity of the accommodation. The maximum number of people in all accommodation must not be exceeded.

Q : Does the campsite offer bike/ski/snowshoe hire?

No, the campsite does not offer bike/ski/snowshoe hire.

Q : Is the campsite open all year?

The campsite is closed only from mid-November to mid-December.

Q : Is there a swimming pool on the campsite?

No, the campsite does not have a swimming pool.

In summer, it is possible to swim in the swimming pool complex of La Bresse  (free for children under 12 years old on presentation of a ticket given to you in advance by the reception).

There are other swimming opportunities nearby: 

  • Lac des Corbeaux (4 km) accessible by car or by footpath (30 min) directly from the campsite,
  • Lac de Longemer or Lac de Gérardmer (13-17 km)

Q : Which type of electrical plug for the pitches?

We have power points with European plugs. 

Q : How big are the pitches?

The pitches for tents, caravans and campervans on the campsite are between 80 and 100 m².

Q : Can I put my car on the pitch?

 

Yes, you can put one vehicle on each pitch.

A second vehicle or motorbikes can be put on the pitch at an extra cost if the size of the pitch allows it, otherwise use the campsite car park.

Q : Until what time can I drive into the campsite?

The campsite entrance gate will be closed from 10.30 pm to 7.00 am in high season. If you come back after 10.30 pm, you will have to leave your car on the outside car park and walk to your pitch. Similarly, if you wish to leave the campsite before 7.00 am, for an excursion or a trip, you will have to leave your car the night before before 10.30 pm.

Please note that the speed limit within the campsite is 10km/h.

Q : How are the sanitary facilities at the campsite equipped?

The campsite has 2 functional, heated sanitary blocks with cabins combining shower, washbasin and toilet.

1 block has an adapted access and a specific shower for disabled persons.

1 block is equipped with a "baby" bathroom with a bathtub and a changing table.

In summer and winter, the modern, functional sanitary facilities are heated and have cabins combining shower, washbasin and toilet.  

 

*Toilet paper is not provided.

Q : Are visitors allowed?

Yes, visitors are allowed and must declare themselves at the campsite reception. The visitor is under the responsibility of the camper who receives him.

Q : We are coming in chalet, what are the important things to bring?

 

All our chalets are equipped with 2 bedrooms, a kitchenette and a living area. We provide all the crockery (see accommodation page, inventory), fridge, electric coffee machine, garden furniture, blankets or duvets and pillows...

However, please do not forget to bring your own sheets, towels and cleaning products*.

* You can choose to rent them if necessary (options available with supplement at the time of booking or before your arrival).

Q : Is there wifi on the campsite?

Yes, you can connect mainly at the reception or on a part of the campsite.

The speed is limited and allows mainly connections for checking emails, internet research but will not allow a good connection for streaming, downloading... 

The wifi is free.

Q : I have a pet, can I take it on holiday?

Pets are accepted with a supplement 'dogs or cats' - in the rentals 6€/night/pet & in the campsite 1.60€/night/pet 

However, we ask you to respect the following conditions:

  • 3 animals maximum per pitch and 1 to 2 animals maximum per rental unit
  • animals must be kept on a leash within the campsite and must not be left alone on the pitch or in the accommodation.
  • the animal must be tattooed and vaccinated and its papers presented to the office on arrival.
  • Pick up the faeces "even in winter" in and outside the campsite (faeces bag available at the entrance of the site)

 

Q : What are the opening hours of the reception?

In the low season, the reception is open from 8.00 am to 11.45am and from 4.30pm to 6.45pm."

In high season (Summer, Christmas and February holiday): from 8.00am to 7.00pm.*

Q : What are the possible arrival and departure times at the campsite?

 For the "chalet or room" rental, you can arrive from 4.30 pm. Departures must be made before 10 am* for rentals, and before noon for pitches.

The timetables are adaptable for weekends "out of High Season*", the timetables can be more flexible to allow you to fully enjoy your weekend. Do not hesitate to ask us.

Q : Is the campsite accessible in winter?

 Yes, the campsite is cleared of snow by us and has camping pitches for caravans or campervans, as well as 2 stabilised parking areas for campervans.

The sanitary facilities are adapted and heated. 

Specific equipment is compulsory "snow tyres or chains".

Q : Is it possible to refuel with gas at the campsite?

No, it is possible to exchange bottles in the town centre (4 km) Super U / Briconaute.

Q : Are there any "Big Comfort" pitches?

No, there are no "Big Comfort" pitches with water and sewerage connection.

There are several drinking water points in the campsite which are accessible from April to October and in the campsite's sanitary facilities during the winter.

For campervans, a service area is located just outside the campsite and is accessible all year round. For an extra charge.

Q : Is there a shuttle/bus to the city centre or ski resorts?

There is a "winter bus" during the Christmas and Winter holidays which allows you to go to the town centre 4km (stop at 200m) or to the ski resorts "La Bresse-Hohneck (5km), La Bresse-Lispach (8km), Widoo-gliss (8km).

Q : Is it necessary to reserve a pitch at the campsite?

 

Yes and No, during the Summer, Christmas and February holidays, it is strongly recommended to book in advance your camping pitch or your pitch in the inside parking area.

For the other periods, if you do not have any particular wish (shady site, near the river, near the playgrounds...), it is not compulsory to book in advance.

Q : Are there any hiking/snowshoeing or other trails from the campsite?

There are several hiking/biking/snowshoe trails from the campsite.

  • 2 marked circuits "in summer" 
  • 7 orienteering circuits starting from the campsite are available at the reception
  • 1 marked "snowshoe" circuit in winter of 5km

Other maps are available "on sale" at the reception (maps for Cycling, rambling, topographic maps,..)

Q : Can we add a tent near the chalet?

 

Tents, caravans, camper vans, arbours, etc. are not allowed near the rental accommodation. 

It will be possible to book a camping pitch close to your chalet.

Q :Are sheets and towels provided?

In the chalets, sheets and towels are not provided (duvets and pillows only). You can choose to rent them if you need them (options available with supplement when you book or before your arrival).

In the rooms, everything is provided, the beds are made on arrival and you have all the bedding and towels in the rooms.

Q : Is there a TV in the chalets / rooms?

All our accommodations are equipped with a TV (French channels).

Q : Y a-t-il des animations ?

All playgrounds are freely accessible under the supervision of parents. There are no organised activities / entertainments.

Q :When do we have to pay the balance of the stay?

 

For camping pitches, campervan parking areas & rooms: the balance of the stay must be paid on arrival.

For chalets, the balance of the stay must be paid 30 days before your arrival.

Q : Is there a composter?

We do not have a composter on the campsite. Throughout the campsite you will find containers for food waste and at the exit a space adapted for selective sorting (glass, paper, plastic)

Q :Can I have a barbecue on the campsite?

Yes and no: You can use your own barbecue, provided it is electric , but lighting a fire or using a wood or charcoal barbecue is prohibited throughout the campsite

 

Q :How to get water? 

 There are several water points (in addition to the sanitary facilities) throughout the campsite which are open from April to October.

In winter, only in the sanitary facilities.

For motorhomes, a service area is available all year round - Tokens are available at the reception or at the payment terminal at the entrance to the campsite.
